Write
Use our editor to write and share text content.
When writing content, to preview your creation slide the toggle from create to view. This is what viewers will see when they access the content you have shared.
Features on the toolbar include:>
- Varying size of headings
- Text stylising (bold, underling, italic, strikethrough)
- Colour or highlighting of font
- Alignment of text (left, centre, right)
- Insert URL hyperlink
- Insert emoji

Your content is not saved until you have published it. When publishing you have numerous options to control the security, more information in the Organise section below.
When editing content that has already been published it is not auto saved, you must click the save button. The save button saves and publishes the content all at once.
For information on the toolbar see the Actions section below. For information on sharing items see the Share section below.
Upload
The upload page allows upload of files from:
- Your device (select from explorer, drag and drop)
- A pasted URL
After uploading items you will be taken to the organise interface where you control publish settings, more information in the Organise section below.
If you are uploading items and you are not signed into an account you will have less privileges:
- Limited uploads
- Upload of files will expire (uploads will be deleted after a maximum of 30 days)
Link
Shorten a link using this tool. Paste your link, click shorten, and copy your new shortened link. This is a very simplistic tool.
Once a link has been created it cannot be changed or deleted. Views are not counted.
View
You can get to your created content in numerous ways:
- Simply pasting the link into the browser (https://file2sync.com/?ref=xxxxxx)
- Going to the view page and pasting the view code
- From your profile page
The type of content you're viewing will determine which viewing page you're directed to:
- If you are viewing an uploaded item you will be directed to the item page with a viewer based on the file type
- If you are viewing a collection you will go to the collection view (more information below)
- If you are viewing written content you will be directed to the view only write page
Collections
When you go to upload any number of files, documents or media, they will be either grouped together as a collection or as individual items. Choosing to group items together makes it easier to organise and share multiple items at once. You will see this option on the organise page during the process of uploading.
All items in a collection inherit the settings of the collection they are a part of.
Organise
During the process of publishing uploaded items or written content you will be faced with the organise page. This is where you choose all the settings for your items. We have split settings into two categories for clarity.
Content Settings:
- Save as a Collection or Single Items (for uploaded files only)
When uploading items you will have the choice to group them as a collection or keep them as individual items.
By default, uploading a single item keeps it as an individual item, while uploading multiple items automatically selects the collection option.
Written items cannot be put in collections.
- Collection or Written Title
If you choose to name your collection, you can enter any name you like in this input field.
This names the collection itself not the items.
- Standardise File Names
Changes the original names of files to a standard format.
- Enable View Count
When the view count is enabled it can be seen in the footer on the bottom left. View counter can be enabled or disabled whenever via the toolbar.
When the view counter is enabled or disabled for a collection, all items in the collection will follow suit.
Privacy Settings:
- Who Can View?
Choose to password protect your item.
- Expiry Date
This is simply how long the content will exist for. After it expires all trace of this content will be removed from our system.
You can renew an item if you need to.
- Upload As
You will only get this choice if you are signed into an account.
When the content is shared the viewer will not be able to see the account username that has created or uploaded the content.
If you choose 'anonymous' option the content or collection will still be associated to your account in the sense that you will be able to see it on your profile page and have access when logged in.
Action Bar
You can make changes to items, collections, and content via the toolbar:
- Rename item
- Hide or show the view count
As mentioned before the view count will appear in the footer if enabled.
All items in a collection follow the collection's view counter state.
- Delete
Deleting a collection deletes all items in the collection.
- Download
Written → download as a PDF
Item → download the original file itself
Collection → download a ZIP of all the files in the collection
- Share
Will take you to the Share options
